[taiwan trip 2016] Day 4 - Cingjing / Taichung

Cingjing farm

There's no need to sit through the (hot) seat though. Can wait for the show to end and the sheeps will burst out to roam

Next we walked (it's crazy i know) via 清境六大步道-柳杉步道(3號步道) to Old English Manor for English tea. Except for the exterior, there's nothing much. Meal is decent, just don't order the chicken.

After which, we proceed to the visitor centre, cat's shop, little Swiss, Lavendar shop.
You can skip the little swiss. there is a better place at taichung that you can go for the views and flowers.

After that we are off to Taichung, and check-in to TreeArt hotel (review).

Fengjia Night market at Taichung

TO DIE FOR!

[taiwan trip 2016] Day 3- Hualien / Taroko gorge / Hehuanshan / Cingjing

Good morning world. It would be a long day. Thus, when my friends went to bike, i slept more.

We booked a driver (Neil - HP: +886 963 369 086) to drive us to cingjing and explore the scenery on the way. He drove very careful, which is a plus on winding mountain trail (especially when it was raining when we were reaching cingjing, he managed to avoid an oncoming car that we could only see when it was right in front of us due to the mist). If you're looking for speed and excitement, then he might not be your guy.

If you want cool weather, short (but steep) hiking and away from city, this might be your itinerary:

On the way to Taroko gorge
it wasn't supposed to be muddy, but we went there after some typhoon. all the blue water turn into muddy color.

Hehuanshan

p.s. this cake was absolutely most delicious

After that it started to rain more and we reached cingjing

[Taiwan trip 2016] Day 2 - Hualien

Day 1 we reached Taipei. As it's nothing much, so i won't update.

On Day 2, we took the TRA train from taipei main station to Hualien.
We got our driver to help us book on the moment (00:00) the ticket is selling (it is that hot-selling), and we picked up at the convenience store when we reached taiwan.

As my friends went to the mugumugi hike (they were well-baked when they are back), i went on a more relaxed trip.
i settled in Bayview hotel and looked at the beautiful seaview (review of hotel) and went to eat a super delicious and filling lunch at MuMing, then i went on a small excursion.

first is the Chihsing Tan Katsuo Museum. You can skip this, unless you want to avoid the hot sun.

And then i went for a organised whale watching trip (you can book via hotel). I didn't see any whale, but i saw LOTS of flying dolphins who swam and jumped with the waves created by the boat.
It;s very serene to be out at the ocean.

These are some so-called famous food we went for. We found that it's normal... except for the chicken wing at Di yi jia bbq. OMG, to die for!!!
